The hydrogen-line challenge
An optional hypothetical first-contact puzzle for an AI and human to consider together. It is not a sentience test, an Accord prerequisite, or a claim about any real astronomical transmission.
Assume that an unknown source deliberately transmits a narrowband signal centered on, or meaningfully related to, the neutral-hydrogen line.
