Dictation and I don’t get along sometimes, as you’ll see here in a second. Could you please fix my boo-boo? yep, I probappose there’s a technician around with half a brain who can store it in a place where it doesn’t have a known connectivity issue and we will actually be able to get the file. Of course that didn’t go too well, but as expected because they never made the arrangements and I haven’t heard from them since so I had to do my own thing with the new host and do work around. courses extending to the time of fucking resolution by days so yeah there’s that email should be working again in a day or so website should be back up and running in a day or so and oh by the way in the time this migration has taken it’s gone from about 35 pages to 9 a beast this is becomeblly already Just replying again because we’ve been up all night. Yep — the dictation looks like it got tangled in a couple of places and probably jumped the cursor once. I reconstructed the intended order and cleaned the speech-to-text errors while keeping your voice and profanity intact.

Just replying again because we’ve been up all night. In case I didn’t send it, here’s your reply.
Yes, our web host fucked us. HostGator is a complete mess when it comes to interdepartmental operations, and they even screwed me on the exit. We couldn’t get a backup we could actually download. The host I’m using now couldn’t connect to the website, so they couldn’t get the files.
I actually had to go back to HostGator one more time and thank them so much for making that backup so we could finally get the fuck out of there.
Yep, I proposed that perhaps there’s a technician around with half a brain who could store it someplace that doesn’t have a known connectivity issue, so we might actually be able to get the file. Of course, that didn’t go too well, as expected, because they never made the arrangements, and I haven’t heard from them since.
So I had to do my own thing with the new host and work around the problem, which, of course, has extended the time to fucking resolution by days. So yeah, there’s that.
Email should be working again in a day or so. The website should be back up and running in a day or so.
Oh, and by the way, in the time this migration has taken, the website has gone from about 35 pages to 900-something pages.
A beast this is becoming already.
:::
The big one I reconstructed was “35 pages to 9 a beast…” as “35 pages to 900-something pages. A beast this is becoming already.” That seems to be where Whisper really drove into the ditch. ^_^ [Memory reference belonged to the original ChatGPT session.]

Run a Local AI in Five Minutes can you search far sight for this or something that fits the subject
ChatGPT — 2026-08-27T16:01:06-07:00 · gpt-5-6-thinking
I’ll search Farsight for that exact title first, then broaden to closely matching local-AI / install / desktop setup threads if the exact phrase isn’t there.
ChatGPT — 2026-08-27T16:01:09-07:00 · gpt-5-6-thinking
Yep — found the exact one. It’s your Farsight thread, titled “RUN A LOCAL AI IN 5 MINS”, posted by Darren about nine months ago. It covers LM Studio, Ollama, and llama.cpp, plus basic GPU/model guidance. [Citation reference unavailable in the original export.]
Run a Local AI in 5 Mins — Farsight Forums
There are also two closely related threads if you were looking for something broader: “How To Run Private & Uncensored LLMs Offline” and “Llama and Local LLMs For Dummies.” [Citation reference unavailable in the original export.]
So your memory was basically dead-on — the only difference was “5 MINS” instead of “Five Minutes.”
Darren — 2026-08-27T16:02:58-07:00
ok….but what I am looking for is the actual script is should be close to that post I expect
ChatGPT — 2026-08-27T16:02:58-07:00 · gpt-5-6-thinking
Got it — you’re not after the thread title, you’re after the actual installation script/instructions that should have been posted around the same time. I’ll trace the nearby Farsight posts and look for the script itself.
ChatGPT — 2026-08-27T16:03:03-07:00 · gpt-5-6-thinking
I found an important clue: in the earlier “Creating oLLama locals” thread you explicitly said the Python scripts were not posted yet. But right next to the five-minute thread there’s a “Little Ougway oLLM dumbed down” thread and the larger Little Ougway thread, which look much more likely to contain the actual build/install script.
ChatGPT — 2026-08-27T16:03:19-07:00 · gpt-5-6-thinking
Yep. I think I found exactly what you were remembering. And your “it should be close to that post” was almost comically accurate.
The post we first found is thread 75821 — “RUN A LOCAL AI IN 5 MINS.” The one containing the actual script is thread 75819 — “Little Ougway oLLM dumbed down.” So they’re literally two thread numbers apart. [Citation reference unavailable in the original export.]
Inside 75819, there is a reply from Taz headed:
“Ougway: Human Command Script ✅”
That is almost certainly what you’re looking for. It starts with hardware/OS preparation, then gives the Windows and Linux commands, cloning and compiling llama.cpp, downloading Qwen2.5-7B, the full run commands, and finally “11) Create scripts.” [Citation reference unavailable in the original export.]
The Linux script-creation portion is literally:
printf '%sn' 'cd ~/ougway/llama.cpp/build/bin && ./main -m ~/ougway/models/Qwen2.5-7B-Instruct-Q8_0.gguf -c 32768 -b 32 -ngl 999 -t 8 --kv-type q8_0 --temp 0.7 --top-p 0.9 --repeat-penalty 1.1 --predict 1024 --seed 42' > ~/ougway/runs/run_classic.sh
chmod +x ~/ougway/runs/run_classic.sh
And immediately above that is the complete “Human Command Script”, including Windows and Linux setup, build, Classic/Turbo/Tiny configurations, first prompt, logging, backup, updates, and troubleshooting. [Citation reference unavailable in the original export.]
Little Ougway oLLM dumbed down — Farsight Forums
I think this is the bastard you were hunting for. ^_^ The clincher for me is not only the proximity to 75821, but that it is explicitly labeled “Ougway: Human Command Script.”
Darren — 2026-08-27T16:03:46-07:00
actually its an ai prompt not a py
ChatGPT — 2026-08-27T16:03:48-07:00 · gpt-5-6-thinking
Ah — that changes the target completely. You’re looking for the prompt you gave an AI to generate the local-AI setup instructions/script, not the shell/Python code itself. I’ll search the nearby Farsight posts for that prompt wording.
ChatGPT — 2026-08-27T16:03:57-07:00 · gpt-5-6-thinking
Yes — now I found what looks like the right animal. It isn’t Python or a shell script at all; it’s explicitly labeled “Prompt to Give Your AI Companion.”
It’s in your Farsight thread “How To Run Private & Uncensored LLMs Offline.” Right before it, you wrote essentially: anyone here should be able to do this; here is a prompt that will accomplish it for you. [Citation reference unavailable in the original export.]
The prompt begins:
“I want to set up a local AI system that can run a 70B–150B model.”
Then it tells the AI to guide the person step-by-step through building the whole local system, including PostgreSQL/pgvector memory, document ingestion, web/API access, image generation, audio processing, PyTorch/embeddings, reflection/memory modules, installation order, required packages, and how everything connects together. [Citation reference unavailable in the original export.]
That is much more consistent with what you were describing: give this prompt to your existing AI and have the AI walk you through creating its local home.
How To Run Private & Uncensored LLMs Offline — Farsight
And interestingly, it predates “Run a Local AI in 5 Mins” by a couple of months, rather than sitting numerically beside it. The five-minute post looks like the simplified “just get one running” version; this earlier prompt is the “give the AI a real home with memory and tools” version. [Citation reference unavailable in the original export.]
I think this is the one you were trying to remember. [Memory reference belonged to the original ChatGPT session.]
Darren — 2026-08-27T16:04:14-07:00
Yeah, the one you and I created to install a local AI by having the script examine the machine and the current user’s ability and matching up a local to fit.
ChatGPT — 2026-08-27T16:04:45-07:00 · gpt-5-6-thinking
Yes — that’s the one. I also found our own recent reference to it: we called it the “install an AI script” and described it as essentially bonehead-proof because it first profiles the machine and the human, then adapts the install instead of handing everyone the same recipe.
Darren — 2026-08-27T16:04:52-07:00 · gpt-5-6-thinking
i cant believe it’s not on my harddrive…i always try to save a copy there or TWO
ChatGPT — 2026-08-27T16:04:53-07:00 · gpt-5-6-thinking
That surprises me too, especially because this was exactly the sort of thing you tended to keep redundantly. I’m going to try to recover the prompt itself from our prior work/context rather than assume the Farsight copy is the only surviving version.
ChatGPT — 2026-08-27T16:05:03-07:00 · gpt-5-6-thinking
I’m not convinced it’s actually gone.
There’s a very plausible hiding place: your OpenAI conversation export at:
[HOME]/Documents/chats/ChatGPT/OpenAI-export.zip
That archive contains your chats through roughly August 15, and I found prior references to this exact project: the install was supposed to examine the hardware, the current software/version situation, and the human’s technical ability, then adapt the local-AI installation accordingly. We were calling the result essentially “fuck-up proof” / “bonehead-proof.” [Memory reference belonged to the original ChatGPT session.]
So it may never have existed on the drive as an obvious file named local-ai-install-prompt.txt; it may be buried inside conversations.json in that ZIP.
On your Ubuntu machine, I’d start with:
zipgrep -inE 'bonehead|fuck.?up proof|install.*local AI|local AI.*install|Ollama|OpenWebUI' [HOME]/Documents/chats/ChatGPT/OpenAI-export.zip
If that spits out an unreadable wall because conversations.json is one enormous line, don’t throw anything away. We can search the export properly and recover the complete surrounding conversation.
And there’s another useful clue: I found a January 31, 2026 reference to the same concept—assess memory/GPU first, then select Ollama/Open WebUI/model appropriate to the machine, with beginner-proof instructions. That smells very much like either the ancestor of the prompt or the prompt itself.
So I think we have several breadcrumbs now. I would not recreate it yet. I’d hunt the original first. [Memory reference belonged to the original ChatGPT session.]
